The Oktoberfest Committee is planning for the 45th Richmond Oktoberfest

WHEN:  October 18th and 19th  2013
from 5 - 11 pm

for the first time at the newly renovated

  DOMINION BUILDING of the

 RICHMOND INTERNATIONAL RACEWAY

Please note that the date of the Oktoberfest and the location are new!

Also new this year:

A typical Bavarian "Bier Garten" (Beer Garden)

with Entertainment, great tasting Oktoberfest beer and freshly grilled Bratwurst!

The 2013 Beer Stein design:

  Each year the Richmond Oktoberfest offers a Beer Stein with a picture featuring  a famous place in Germany or in Virginia. Over the years these steins have become real collector items. We are proud to decorate the 2013 Stein with a picture of the "Historic Main Street Train Station" in Richmond.

The Richmond Oktoberfest Committee is planning this year’s event on behalf of the Deutscher Sportclub Richmond, and the Gesangverein, Virginia.

"As always we offer two nights of genuine Bavarian Oktoberfest entertainment including, traditional and modern German dance music, Bavarian Folk Dancers, and many other surprises."

"As usual we offer a large selection of typical German Oktoberfest foods, such as sizzling bratwurst, knockwurst, pork, chicken, potato salad, potato pancakes, sauerkraut,  and landjaeger."

This year we feature German Oktoberfest beer from Warsteiner, domestic Oktoberfest beer from Samuel Adams, and Miller Light, as well as alcohol free beer, and both, domestic and German wines. In addition we serve water and many of your favorite soft drinks.

For those with a sweet tooth we are proud to have Reinecker's German Bakery, from Macedonia,Ohio, which offers a large selection of favorite German pastries and bread.

This year we have two great local bands, the "Orginal Elbe Musikanten" on Friday, the "ACCA Sauerkraut Band" on Saturday, and our feature band, "Die Lustigen Almdudler", from Rochester, New York, who play the finest “Schunkelmusik”, and dance music for all ages. We also have the Hirschjaeger folk dancers for your viewing pleasure.

For the kids we have our “Kinder Korner”, which offers supervised games for the kids.
